If you head north from Zagreb, you will find yourself surrounded with an immense sea of hills topped by tiny baroque churches, and covered in vineyards, orchards and forests. This is Northern Croatia, where you can enjoy looking at fortresses from the Middle Ages, as well as castles and manor-houses, you can visit interesting museums, and relax in the thermal springs in numerous spas. Here it is as though the spirit of the last few centuries and old Croatian nobility is still lingering over towns and villages, awakening travelers’ imaginations.
